The initial agreement of the forestry right was contracted to Carter Holt Harvey in 1993 for a term of 35 years or a single rotation whichever is shorter.

A change in ownership of the forestry right occurred in 2006 to Taumata Plantations and is managed by Hancock Forest Management Ltd.

The Aramiro forestry right is not pre 1990 forestry and not registered in or subject to the emissions trading scheme. This allows Our People to make future decisions on how the land is utilised.
